Genesis Capital Equity, a private equity firm within the Genesis Capital group, has the pleasure to announce that the position of Managing Partner is now held by Ondřej Vičar who has been working for Genesis Capital since 2007. He replaces Jan Tauber who founded Genesis Capital more than 20 years ago and developed it into one of the biggest players in the field of private equity in Central Europe. The change among management represents the conclusion of the natural succession process within the group and is also done in the context of the planned launch of a new fund – Genesis Private Equity Fund IV. The process involves a series of other promotions within the investment team.

Aside from the change in the position of company director, some changes occurred also on other positions. Martin Viliš, until now Senior Investment Director, became a new Partner of the company and fifth partner in total. Tatiana Balkovicová was promoted to the position of Senior Investment Director. Tomáš Sýkora, until now Senior Investment Analyst, became Investment Manager. Adam Ruta was promoted to the position of Senior Investment Analyst.

“Our long-term working and investment philosophy is based not only on everyday work of all people without differences, but also on the correct mix of experience, determination and talent together with stability, humbleness and respect. It is only because of this unique combination that we are a reliable partner in Central Europe for business owners, managers and our investors – well-established financial institutions – for over 20 years now. In their 20 years of existence, Genesis Funds have supported over 50 small and medium companies and joined their forces with numerous management teams. Many of these companies rose to the top in their respective fields thanks to their cooperation with us. With the scope of our activities continuing to grow, the new role means for me in particular more responsibility. Of course, looking at the current developments and risks, it is a big challenge as well,” says Ondřej Vičar, the new Managing Partner of Genesis Capital Equity.

“The change in the position of Managing Partner has been under preparation for quite some time already. Ondřej has been working for Genesis Capital for almost 13 years now. He was involved in many transactions during that time and he significantly contributed to the long-term growth and development of the entire company and its transformation into the form of a group. He has been in charge of the company´s HR development for a considerable time already, during which he managed to bring several valuable new members into the team. Therefore, we are better prepared for future growth than ever before,” says Jan Tauber who remains with Genesis Capital and will now hold the position of Chairman and Chairman of Investment Committees.
