Genesis Capital, one of the most established institutional private equity players in Central Europe, expands its team by Vojtěch Novák, previously senior lawyer at Dentons. Vojtěch joins as Senior Counsel strengthening the legal team of Genesis Capital alongside its current legal partner Pavel Kvíčala.

Vojtěch Novák has extensive experience in advising local and international clients on corporate and M&A matters in a variety of industries, including TMT, energy, automotive, manufacturing, food and private equity. He has been involved in a number of significant transactions not only in the Czech and Slovak Republics, but also in the entire CEE region.

The current expansion of the Genesis Capital Equity’s team follows the final closing of the new fund, Genesis Private Equity Fund IV, which has EUR 150 million available for investments into small and medium companies in Central Europe. Vojtěch Novák will also support the activities related to the portfolio companies of Genesis Private Equity Fund III, the previous fund which invested for instance in HP Tronic / Datart, GTH Catering or Conectart. Both funds will thus receive direct support of another leading legal expert with particular experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions and structured finance.

„Over the last more than 7 years, Vojtěch Novák advised in dozens of transactions realised in a variety of industries including private equity, proving to be a highly qualified professional with deep understanding of commercial and financial nuances. Vojtěch’s professionalism and experience thus guarantee further substantial expansion of our legal capacities in assessing new investment opportunities and also in supporting our current portfolio. It is a great pleasure for me to welcome him aboard at Genesis Capital,“ says Pavel Kvíčala, legal partner at Genesis Capital.

Vojtěch Novák also commented on the new cooperation: „For me, the move into private equity is a matter of natural development and building on previous experience. I am sincerely looking forward to our cooperation as an opportunity to deliver returns to the funds’ investors, and bring growth and prosperity to small and medium enterprises and their management teams.“
