Tomáš Sýkora, Patria Finance’s chief analyst, joins Genesis Capital

Tomáš Sýkora, Patria Finance’s chief analyst, is joining Genesis Capital, the leading private equity firm in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The latest major addition to the company’s analytical team is completing the personal strengthening undertaken at Genesis Capital in recent months. Since May, the team has welcomed Tatiana Balkovicová and Martin Viliš, experts in financial advisory and acquisition financing, respectively, CFO Petr Janovský, and analyst Adam Ruta.

Tomáš Sýkora has more than ten years’ worth of experience in financial markets, acquired primarily in the positions of equity analyst and later chief analyst at Patria Finance between 2010 and 2018. His principal activity was equity analysis of companies traded on the Prague Stock Exchange and in the region of Central Europe, with a specific focus on the energy sector. His analytical team consistently achieved success rates in excess of 70% in terms of investment recommendations and was considered one of the best in the domestic capital market. Prior to joining Patria, Tomáš worked in the financial asset management department of Generali, where he managed both bond and equity portfolios as well as financial risk. Tomáš is a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague with a degree in Econometrics and Operations Research. He speaks Czech and English.
